No one told me Tom Moody had died (19 March). The obituary at ARTnews is decent and saves you from having to go to Artforum. I never had a chance to meet him despite his being from Dallas, my first art scene, but I followed Nasty Nets in the same way I followed the hell.com project—always with a sense of uncovering secrets. Rhizome.org was THE essential forum. Fittingly, his gallery home was Paul Slocum’s And/Or, eventually relocated to Pasadena after leaving Dallas in ’09. When you get a chance, check out his website and just marvel.
Anyway, I hate this pandemic very much.
